it isn’t selfish to care about yourself. its essential for your physical and mental health. we forget that sometimes.
when life gets tough get tougher
I know just how hard it is as a wife and busy working mum to carve out time to truly look after yourself. I found myself stuck in that all-too-familiar place, overwhelmed, feeling little to no joy in anything I was doing because I was utterly exhausted from trying to be everything to everyone and often nothing to myself.
After having children, I'd put on 5 stone, and while I was doing a pretty good job of wearing a brave face for those around me, inside I felt like I was slowly losing the battle. That’s when I made a firm decision to shake things up: changes to my lifestyle, changes to my mindset, and most importantly, changes to the way I spoke to myself.
Before long, I started seeing positive benefits not just within myself, but those around me noticed the difference, too. Along the way, I lost the weight—not through any crazy diets, expensive shakes, or starving myself—but simply by becoming happier, healthier, and more balanced in my approach to life.
Motivated by this transformation, I took it further and switched gears in my career, becoming a Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach so I could help other women make small, sustainable changes to their own lives and rediscover their joy once again.

Even as a personal Trainer, staying motivated can sometimes feel hard but by breaking big goals into easier to achieve goals, celebrating small wins, surrounding myself with fun and remembering why I started in the first place always nudges me back on track when I start to lose focus. Here’s some InsIghts in to my life lately…
